Lexus GS 450H
The first hybrid sport automobile in history.
Lexus puts an end to the reputation of hybrids as ugly and
slow. The new GS 450h, Lexus is a high performance hybrid
car. Lexus has developed a luxurious car with low fuel
consumption/emissions and maximizes the power/silence of the
vehicle. The GS 450h loads a V6 motor of 3,5 liters that
gets to generate the same power of a modern V8 of 4.5
liters. This Lexus GS 450H consumes fuel like a 2.5 liter
motor with four cylinders. The GS has 80% less emissions
than the average car with an electrical motor 50% quieter
than a combustion engine. This Lexus was designed to be
faster than a V8 and 30% more efficient. The result is a
luxury vehicle that accelerates from 0 to 60mph like a
Porsche 911. The V6 produces 292 rpm and 267 6,400 HP to
4,800 lb-foot of torque to rpm. The heart of 450h is the
first longitudinal hybrid transmission. This allows that the
vehicle to operate with rear wheel traction. This new and
completely revolutionary variable valve transmission makes
for a smooth ride. When one drives a vehicle with this type
of transmission, one waits for the transition… that it never
arrives. It is very strange and at the same time rewarding
sensation, since the car does not lose power at any moment.
